Resources for Living, Inc. offers classes Monday through Friday from 9AM to noon at our Phyllis Schwarcz Learning Center located in the McGaw YMCA building at 1000 Grove Street in Evanston. Our courses are funded through the Department of Human Services and, therefore, are open to all individuals with disabilities at no charge. We also hold an annual art show, during which members display their art to the public for sale. The proceeds from the sale of artwork goes directly to the invididual artist. Art Class Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday In our Art Class, students learn to express themselves through painting, drawing, and projects such as beadmaking and sculpture. Our instructor works with individuals with developmental disabilities to help students reach their full potential. |

Daily Living Skills Class Wednesday and FridayIn our Daily Living Class, students learn every day life-skills that lead to more independent lives including cooking and basic computer skills. Students also take field trips to places like the post office and library. |
